Losing four players to transfers in one off-season could decimate a program. But for Michigan basketball coach John Beilein, it wasn’t a shock.
Three of those players -- center Ricky Doyle and wings Kameron Chatman and Aubrey Dawkins -- were in the 2014 recruiting class and realized there were limited opportunities for their junior seasons.
“The good news is we’ve got five starters back. The bad news is the guys behind them have transferred,” Beilein said today on WTKA-AM (1050). "They’re looking at it as 'I want to play, I’m going to be a junior, how do I fit' and things like that.
