When Jordan Poole's miracle shot found the bottom of the net against Houston, John Beilein was $25,000 richer.
It's highly unlikely that thought crossed the Michigan coach's mind, but, according to USA Today, Beilein's contract does state that he receives $25,000 for each NCAA Tournament victory.
He also pocketed a $25,000 bonus for Michigan's Big Ten Tournament championship, and $25K for the NCAA Tournament bid itself.
So that's $100,000 collected in March, and another $100,000 still available for Beilein, who makes about $3.37 million annually from Michigan.
For comparison's sake, Kansas' Bill Self can pocket another $350,000 if the Jayhawks win the national title.
