Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh never backs down from a challenge, and he values his reputation.
So when SEC Network analyst Paul Finebaum attacked him a week ago for reportedly hiring a high school coach whose son is a highly regarded recruit, Harbaugh fired back on Twitter.
Harbaugh misrepresented Finebaum’s first name by calling him “Pete” and said he carries the water for the SEC. Harbaugh explained his rationale on a podcast Thursday with San Jose Mercury News columnist Tim Kawakami.
“You try to take it with a grain of salt, as they say, and put some humor into it,” Harbaugh said.
