Jesse Minter isn’t one to wallow in negativity or mope about what went wrong. He’s more of a glass-half-full guy. So, Michigan football’s new defensive coordinator didn’t spend this offseason fretting about how he’ll replace three top-50 NFL draft picks or recover 82% of the sack production lost since the 2021 Wolverines played their last snap. He’s also not concerned about the pressure that comes with succeeding his good friend, Mike Macdonald, whose scintillating one-year stint in Ann Arbor left him with a tough act to follow.
Instead, Minter projects optimism, knowing he’ll work with a set of players already familiar with the scheme he plans to run.
