Michigan football's showdown at Penn State could not have started any worse for the Wolverines.
Penn State raced to a 21-7 lead at halftime of Saturday's game at Beaver Stadium in University Park, Pennsylvania.
The Nittany Lions won one-on-one battles, seemed to have every flag go their way and smothered the Wolverines' offense until Zach Charbonnet stopped the bleeding with a 12-yard touchdown run with less than three minutes to play in the first half.
