ANN ARBOR -- Jim Harbaugh did everything he could to make sure the Michigan-Notre Dame rivalry was renewed.
Now he says it should be an every-year thing.
Speaking Monday during his weekly news conference, the Michigan football coach said he "felt good" about opening the 2018 season against the No. 12-ranked Fighting Irish (7:30 p.m., NBC), the first game between the two programs since 2014.
"It makes a lot of sense," Harbaugh said. "We'll get on a bus, we'll go to South Bend -- it will be like a 2 1/2-hour drive -- and they can do the same when they come here.
