Jim Harbaugh isn’t feeling reminiscent this week about Nebraska, and why should he?

During this week’s Big Ten teleconference, Jim Harbaugh was bombarded by Nebraska reporters with tacky questions.

He was asked for his thoughts on if Michigan and Nebraska were to have faced off in 1997, the year the teams were co-national champions.

Harbaugh’s response?

“I haven’t thought about it. I have a very small rear-view mirror. Very focused on this game, starting the Big Ten season.”

As he should be.

Why would Harbaugh reminisce on what could have been for a Michigan team that he wasn’t even a part of? Sure, he was probably rooting for his alma mater from a distance as he was still slinging the rock in the NFL, but why would he ever think about what would happen if two teams from 21 years ago played each other?
