Jim Harbaugh didn't like the way Karan Higdon's 'guarantee' came about

There was much debate on Monday over Karan Higdon's "guarantee."

It was then -- during Michigan's weekly news conference -- that the fourth-ranked Wolverines' running back was asked by a reporter if he wanted to guarantee victory over Ohio State on Saturday (noon, FOX).

His coach, Jim Harbaugh, guaranteed a Michigan victory over Ohio State in 1986. But speaking Tuesday on the Big Ten coaches' teleconference, Harbaugh felt the circumstances surrounding Higdon's guarantee were different this time around.

"I didn't think much of the way the interviewer was interviewing him," Harbaugh said. "What was Karan was saying was, yeah, he was confident and he believes in his team and believes in his teammates, his brothers and his coaches.
