Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has been a major proponent of innovative solutions to problems in college football.
Harbaugh supported athletes being able to make NIL (name, image and likeness) money before it even had the NIL terminology. Harbaugh lobbied for expanding the College Football Playoff before it was a popular opinion. While Harbaugh’s nearly 60 years old, he’s had a progressive mind compared to the NCAA and their reluctance to evolve.
In August, Harbaugh advocated for revenue sharing and players receiving a piece of the multi-billion-dollar television deals athletic conference's such as the Big Ten have the broadcast networks.
