Livonia – Michigan receiver Jehu Chesson, who led the team with 11 touchdowns, was voted by his teammates the Bo Schembechler Most Valuable Player.
Michigan held its annual football bust sponsored by the U-M Club of Greater Detroit on Monday night at the Laurel Manor. Bust officials said the event was a sellout with 1,100 in attendance to see coach Jim Harbaugh’s first team honored.
All of the team awards were presented along with the “M” rings given to the seniors.
Chesson, known for his tenacity and big-hitting ways particularly on special teams, led the team with 11 total touchdowns, including eight receiving and one kick return.
