Last season, the Michigan football team’s coaching staff chose not to reveal its starting quarterback until the team’s offense took the field for the first time during the season opener. Jake Rudock, the quarterback who took the field, ended up leading Michigan to 10 victories while throwing for 3,017 yards and 20 touchdowns last season.
But now Rudock is gone to the NFL, and the Wolverines are tasked with finding a new starting quarterback. And once again, according to passing game coordinator Jedd Fisch, there is the possibility the team will not name a starter until the season opener against Hawaii on Sept.
