It’s been a rough few days for the Wolverines, dropping their first game of the season at Iowa while also dealing with an injury to their starting quarterback. That string of bad news was snapped though early Tuesday morning when Detroit Cass Tech safety Jaylen Kelly-Powell announced his plan to commit to Michigan.
Releasing a video to declare his intentions, the 6-0, 185 pounder listed off the schools of interest, then showed off a Michigan hat and receiving gloves, stating “go blue” to reveal his choice.
Kelly-Powell is rated as a four-star prospect by Scout, ESPN and 247 Sports, while coming in as a three-star player on Rivals.
