The Michigan Wolverines managed just seven points in their loss on Saturday to Illinois. The mark represents the lowest total a Michigan team has scored in a game since its 2014 loss to Notre Dame, where the Irish shut out a Brady Hoke-led Wolverine squad. It’s crazy to think, but that’s where Michigan is at just ten months removed from confetti falling in Houston after a national championship victory.
Michigan’s offense has been anemic at best through seven games this season. Coming into the year, it was expected that the unit would take a step back thanks to ten starters departing for the NFL, but nobody thought it would be this hard to watch.
