Isaac eager to show what he can do

Transferring to Michigan from Southern Cal as a true sophomore last season, Ty Isaac had hopes he would be able to make an immediate impact. He had been heavily recruited by Brady Hoke’s staff out of high school, and nearly selected the Maize and Blue the first time around, so helping the team was high on his list of priorities. Unfortunately for both him and the Wolverines, that wasn’t an opportunity he received.

Isaac made the move primarily to be closer to his mother in Joliet, Ill., who struggled to make the cross-country treks to see her son.
