ANN ARBOR -- Jared Wangler has been around for a while. He committed to play football for Michigan in the summer of 2013. He played his first season for Brady Hoke. But it wasn't until two games ago, at Northwestern, that the fifth-year senior touched the ball for the first time, snagging a nine-yard reception.
On Saturday against Maryland he did one better, catching a touchdown pass in the fourth quarter. It felt good for many reasons, one of them being that Wangler was sticking it to a former coach now affiliated with the opponent.
He took to social media after the game, posting a photo of his touchdown with the caption, "'You'll never play here at Michigan.
