The Michigan Wolverines lost a number of players this offseason to the transfer portal, with one of the more surprising ones being wide receiver Tyler Morris. The senior from Illinois decided to take his talents to Indiana for his senior year, but now that is being put on hold.
Announced by Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti on Tuesday, Morris suffered a non-contact knee injury that will require surgery. Morris is out for the year.
Morris entered the portal back on Dec. 3 and transferred to Indiana about a month later. He was Michigan’s most productive wide receiver this past season — which isn’t saying a whole lot — catching 23 passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns.
