ANN ARBOR -- Michigan senior Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman needed less than a second to answer the question.
Michigan had just defeated Northwestern 58-47. The Wolverines shot 36 percent in the first half and scored just 21 points. They struggled initially to find good shots, then got clean looks but still missed.
Afterwards, Abdur-Rahkman was asked if, earlier in his career, Michigan would have won with such a first-half shooting performance.
"Uh, no," he said with a laugh. "That was a big emphasis my first couple years here -- shooting and scoring and just trying to score as much as the other team.
