Where Keith Washington resides these days, the scene is very different.
The town is rural. The crowds are considerably smaller. Games are played on Thursdays.
"It is kind of weird, but I got used to it," says Washington, who spoke to MLive on the phone this week.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound cornerback made the swift decision last month to transfer from Michigan, packing his bags for Wesson, Mississippi and Copiah-Lincoln Community College.
Washington's decision came two weeks before the start of the season and caught his coaches off guard.
"I just thought about everything that was going on," Washington said.
