Through five games, the Michigan Wolverines stand at 4-1, but their offense hasn’t been a big reason for the success. In fact, it’s fair to consider where Michigan would be if its defense and special teams haven’t been as good as they’ve had to play.
Michigan’s offense is currently a far cry from what we saw a year ago when J.J. McCarthy, Blake Corum, and Roman Wilson were making plays on a consistent basis. The inability to get anything going in the passing game is certainly jarring, but the running game is doing just enough to keep putting points on the board.
