Michigan's opponent on Saturday, SMU, lost two wide receivers early to the NFL draft after last season. The Mustangs counted on two transfers to help replace them. Both suffered sprained ankles last Friday in a loss to TCU.
C.J. Sanders is a graduate transfer from Notre Dame who was mostly used as a return specialist but also caught a pass in SMU's opener against North Texas. (Sanders, by the way, was a child actor who played a young Ray in the eponymous film about the musician starring Jamie Foxx.)
Reggie Roberson Jr. played his freshman season at West Virginia last year before transferring.
