After a week of rest, the Michigan Wolverines return to action on Saturday in Champaign, Illinois to take on the Illinois Fighting Illini. It has been a surprise season for Bret Beilema’s squad, which has already beaten two ranked opponents and took a top-five Penn State team into the fourth quarter in Happy Valley.
Many are questioning the Fighting Illini after their poor performance last week against Purdue, which nearly upset them at home. The Boilermakers, who many consider the worst team in the conference, scored 49 points and were a two-point conversion in overtime away from pulling off the win.
