Hunter Dickinson is for real.
The freshman center put Michigan basketball on his back and led the Wolverines to a tight 62-58 win over Penn State in the Big Ten opener.
In his first career start, Dickinson was Michigan’s entire offense, scoring a game-high 20 points on 9-for-14 shooting. He added seven rebounds and three blocks. And with the Wolverines trailing by two with under three minutes left, Dickinson scored two straight baskets to swing the game back in Michigan's favor one last time.
It likely wasn't the way that the Wolverines wanted to earn their first conference win, as Michigan had plenty of opportunities to establish control.
