How Michigan’s loaded backfield could transform its passing strategy

The college football season starts in three days for the Michigan Wolverines, and the running back room is once again stacked to the brim with talent.

The room consists of graduate Kalel Mullings, seniors Donovan Edwards and Tavier Dunlap, sophomores Benjamin Hall and Cole Cabana, and freshmen Jordan Marshall and Micah Ka’apana. While all seven backs could be Day 1 starters elsewhere, they have all been competing for snaps in Ann Arbor.
