How Michigan can fully unleash QB Alex Orji

Alex Orji is currently one of the most polarizing quarterbacks in the nation.

A large swath of pundits are already writing Orji off after two starts, with The Athletic’s Ari Wasserman going so far as to say Michigan “can’t throw a forward pass.”

While Wasserman’s statement is facetious and Michigan should have a chip on their shoulder, there’s no denying Michigan’s passing game has to get a whole lot better.

Michigan currently ranks No. 129 in passing offense and No. 132 in passing yards per completion. Orji’s 20-of-36 on the season for 133 yards with three touchdowns and one interception.
