COLUMBUS, Ohio — It has been a tough week for Eli Brooks' nose.
On Feb. 22, he broke it by colliding face-first with Purdue's Nojel Eastern. Bleeding, Brooks left the game and did not return. And to compound matters, the injury led to a sinus infection that gave Brooks a headache and "really bad" sinus pressure.
Because of the sinus infection, Brooks missed Thursday's loss to Wisconsin.
“I didn’t feel like I could give 100%, so I didn’t go out there," Brooks said.
