BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Michigan's defensive strategy against Romeo Langford on Friday night wasn't complicated.
Have Charles Matthews guard Indiana's star freshman.
Simple, but effective.
Langford, who entered the game averaging 17.6 points on 48.5 percent shooting, was completely stifled by Matthews.
With the 6-foot-6 wing guarding him, Langford scored once. He finished with nine points on 3-of-12 shooting in Michigan's 69-46 win over the Hoosiers.
"There were some times in the first time (we played) we thought it was easier to switch," Michigan coach John Beilein said. "And today we didn't want any switches at all.
