We already knew Coach Lloyd Carr from his years at the University of Michigan, where the retired head coach had lead the Wolverines football team to a national championship.
The connection between grandfather and grandson made Chad feel familiar to so many of us. We learned about his brothers, his diagnosis, his family's faith; we grew to understand more about his condition, experimental treatments, pediatric cancer research and how it's funded.
