Michigan proved that its opening weekend drubbing of Arizona State was not a mirage, taking down a ranked Wisconsin team in Madison to make it four straight wins to open the year. The Badgers were a step up in competition on their home ice, but talent prevailed once again, pushing the Wolverines to fourth in the latest USCHO poll.
Neither game against Wisconsin was a cakewalk, with the Badgers jumping out in front both times. The way that Michigan responded, though, speaks to the ability of this team. On Thursday night, the Wolverines fell behind 1-0 after the first period, but scored three goals in a six-minute span in the second frame to really swing the tide.
