It was always bound to happen. Though Michigan started the season with four straight wins, there were going to be some bumps for a roster so dependent on freshmen. Unfortunately, reality set in against Notre Dame, as the Irish handed the Wolverines their first two losses of the new season in a frustrating sweep at home.
There is no need to panic; the Wolverines are still ranked inside the top 10 and have plenty of talent and potential. However, last weekend’s losses are a good reminder that there are still plenty of opportunities for growth, both in figuring out how to break down a tough defense and in limiting mistakes that lead to damage.
