Following its winter break, the Michigan men’s ice hockey team squared off against Ohio State in the “Frozen Confines” of Wrigley Field on Friday night. The Wolverines squandered a late lead to drop the series opener by a final score of 4-3. On Sunday, Michigan had a chance to salvage its first series of the second half of the season, returning to Ann Arbor to take on the No. 13 Buckeyes once again.
Logan Stein drew the start in goal for the Wolverines, and the Buckeyes pressured him right away in the first period. It didn’t help matters when Michigan’s Ethan Edwards was called for a tripping penalty just six minutes into the contest.
