Higdon achieves 1,000-yard season, and he’s not finished

Karan Higdon had an efficient junior season in 2017 — compiling 994 yards on 164 carries in 13 games.

But his senior season is a different story. Improved play from the quarterback and offensive line positions has helped Higdon up his game.

Before playing Rutgers, he was one-yard shy of his season total from last year.

His 42-yard day on 13 carries Saturday put Higdon above 1,000 yards. After 10 games, Higdon is averaging 5.34 yards per carry on 188 carries, 120.4 yards per game (ninth nationally) to go along with nine touchdowns.

A Michigan running back hasn’t reached 1,000 yards since 2011 (Fitzgerald Toussaint).
