Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel is "very happy" with the football program's recent contract extension with Jim Harbaugh and said he maintains full belief in Harbaugh.
In the latest episode of the "In the Trenches" podcast with Jon Jansen, Manuel offered his first extended public remarks on Harbaugh's new deal and the Wolverines' new-look coaching staff. He and Harbaugh "have had great conversations," and Manuel emphasized he has faith in Harbaugh's ability to lead U-M to "great success."
"As a former captain, former quarterback here, he knows exactly the expectations of Michigan and Michigan football and the things that are expected in terms of success," Manuel said.
