Alabama true freshman quarterback Tua Tagovailoa made headlines last month when he replaced starter Jalen Hurts in the national championship game and led the Crimson Tide to victory.
Although there were not any true freshmen from Michigan that made national headlines, there were about 20 in-state signees from the 2017 class that saw the field for FBS programs last season.
With signing day on Wednesday, MLive decided to look back at the class of 2017 and see which players made the biggest impact for their respective teams. The players are listed in order by their 247Sports composite ranking.
