INDIANAPOLIS -- Bob Mesalam had a unique perspective on Michigan’s first June satellite camp Wednesday.
The Indianapolis-area resident has known Jim Harbaugh longer than nearly anyone else in attendance at Bishop Chatard High School.
The pair were neighbors in Deerfield, Ill., nearly three decades ago, when Harbaugh was quarterbacking the Chicago Bears, and they have kept in touch for years.
So Mesalam was eager to swing by and see his longtime friend.
“He’s a lot different,” Mesalam said. “It’s been fun to watch the evolution. He’s been a good guy and a good friend for 20-plus years.
