Harbaugh sees bad and good in opening loss to Utah

Salt Lake City — Michigan did not open the Jim Harbaugh coaching era as it wanted, dropping its season opener, 24-17 at Utah on Thursday night, in a wildly hyped prime-time game.

After the game, Harbaugh, while admitting the Wolverines have plenty to clean up across the board, spent most of news conference extolling the positives of his team.

The Wolverines are home now preparing for Oregon State, their second game of the season and first at Michigan Stadium. Here’s a look at how the opener unfolded:
