Harbaugh rips ESPN analyst for Lewis speculation

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh hears everything, even while he's coaching a game.

He decided to keep All-American cornerback Jourdan Lewis out of the 63-3 win over Hawaii as Lewis recovered from an injury and repeated that today during his weekly news conference, saying Lewis was "getting close to playing."

But his issue was with ESPN commentator Ed Cunningham, who went to a break in the first half and speculated that Lewis was out for "discipline."

"It had nothing to do with any off-field suspension I heard about Ed Cunningham, got way out over his skis, speculating it was some kind of suspension," Harbaugh said.
