Ann Arbor — Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, during his weekly news conference, didn’t lecture or point out the obvious — that booing quarterback Cade McNamara is counterproductive, not to mention silly.
He didn’t need to.
When McNamara came into Saturday night’s game against Hawaii to take over for starter J.J. McCarthy, there were boos. McNamara took a sack, boos. He threw an interception, boos. McNamara is not an emotionally soft player unable to handle any type of hostility from the Michigan Stadium crowd.
