Flint — The Michigan football team kicked off its nine-day tour of the state on Thursday with an eclectic afternoon that was both full of hope and festivity.
Michigan has taken three overseas trips under coach Jim Harbaugh, to Rome in 2017, Paris in 2018 and South Africa in 2019. The trips were canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, and Harbaugh wanted to do something different this year, hence the trip around the state.
