Ann Arbor — Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh walked into the Pizza House for his first radio show with Jim Brandstatter, and the crowd, stuffed into every room of the restaurant’s second floor, applauded loudly.
That wasn’t unusual. After all, former coach Brady Hoke, popular with Michigan fans, also would draw a similar response when he’d arrive for the weekly show.
But this was different.
With Michigan three days from its opener at Utah, there is a feeling among the fan base that with Harbaugh, the program is on an upswing, even without having played a game.
