Appearing on Free Press columnist Mitch Albom's radiothon today, it was suggested that Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh donate some of his iconic khakis.
Other athletes donated sport-specific items, and actors offered voiceovers for voicemail greeting to benefit S.A.Y. Detroit charities. But Harbaugh's contribution was the pants, which have become his trademark over 12 years in coaching.
"Half a dozen khaki pants," Harbaugh said. "All right, let's do it. That'll help get rid of my closet. That will free up space in my closet. ... You want me to sign them on the leg? The leg is good.
