Michigan freshmen Ahmir Mitchell and Shelton Johnson are not practicing with the team during the first week of fall camp.
Head coach Jim Harbaugh said Monday evening the two freshmen were suspended from the team. He declined to answer questions about why they were suspended, who they were and when or if the suspension would be lifted.
"We'll handle it internally," Harbaugh said when asked for more details.
A Michigan spokesman later confirmed Mitchell and Johnson were the suspended players.
Mitchell, a wide receiver, arrived on campus for the spring semester.
