Pep Hamilton's first year in Ann Arbor featured a lot of duct tape and few results.

Michigan had two starting quarterbacks go down with an injury, a third never really grasp the moment and a receiving corps that was too young to quite know what was happening.

The team combined to throw just nine touchdown passes, Michigan's lowest number as a program since 1975 — when the forward pass was a novelty around here.
