DALLAS, Texas -- Former University of Michigan football coach Lloyd Carr has been named to the College Football Playoff Committee, announced today (Thursday, Jan. 21) by the CFP executive director Bill Hancock. Carr will start his three-year term later this spring.
Carr joins the CFP committee as one of four new additions this year. This list includes former Central Michigan coach Herb Deromedi, former Southern Mississippi coach Jeff Bower and current Oregon athletic director Rob Mullens.
A member of Michigan’s Hall of Honor, Carr compiled a 122-40 overall record during his head coaching career (1995-2007) and led the Wolverines to six 10-win seasons.
