ANN ARBOR -- Michigan basketball has a new all-time leading scorer, and the player pushed to No. 2 is just fine with that.
Katelynn Flaherty of the women's team recently passed Glen Rice, a former men's star, for the most points in Michigan history. Flaherty, a senior, is at 2,505 career points and counting.
"I always say records are made to be broken and to have it done by Katelynn -- she's had a tremendous career, is a tremendous athlete, a tremendous scorer," Rice said Sunday at Crisler Center. "For me it's an honor to even be in the same sentence as she is.
