From the head scratching to the awe inspiring, Michigan freshmen making impact

NEW YORK -- Duncan Robinson stood at his locker in front of a group of reporters Thursday afternoon, after Michigan had defeated Iowa to advance in the Big Ten Tournament, when freshmen teammates Jordan Poole and Isaiah Livers jumped in.

"Duncan, Duncan," Livers shouted, sticking his arm between bodies, his hand mimicking a microphone. "How do you feel like you played today?"

Robinson started answering, half-heartedly, before Poole cut him off: "You're one of the oldest guys on this team, and you're a leader--"

"Very old, very old," Livers interjected.

In the freshmen's first postseason game, their play on the court and behavior off it suggested the Madison Square Garden lights were not too bright for them.
