ANN ARBOR, MI - When Wolverine fans flock to Ferry Field this fall with their minds set on a victory inside Michigan Stadium, they'll be congregating on hallowed ground.
They'll be indulging in a new, high-end tailgating experience at the Ann Arbor venue where track and field legend and American sports icon Jesse Owens gave one his most awe-inspiring performances in 1935, setting four track and field world records in 45 minutes.
Historic Ferry Field to become tailgating spot for Michigan football
The historic field hosted UM football home games from 1906 until the end of the 1926 season, after which the Wolverines moved into Michigan Stadium.
