ANN ARBOR -- With four minutes left in Friday's game, freshmen Colin Castleton and Adrien Nunez stepped onto the Crisler Center for the first time, joining fellow rookies David DeJulius and Brandon Johns Jr.
Noticeably absent was the fifth member of the freshman class, Ignas Brazdeikis. He'd started and played 20 minutes. Michigan head coach John Beilein had clearly seen enough from him. By the end of a 90-58 exhibition victory, so too had Northwood.
Things were going so well for Brazdeikis that even the official scorer cut the freshman some slack. With statisticians getting used to a new system across college basketball, there were some errors Friday night -- among them, Brazdeikis was assigned just one miss from 3-point range, when in fact he had two.
