The Michigan Wolverines lost a commitment on Thursday evening with 2022 linebacker Tyler Martin announcing that he has backed out of his pledge and reopened his recruitment.
He made the announcement via his Twitter account.
Martin, a four-star recruit out of Massachusetts, was primarily recruited by former defensive coordinator Don Brown. He cited Michigan’s changes to the defensive staff as his reasoning for opening things up and looking elsewhere. Martin ranks as the No. 278 player in the country and committed to the program back in September.
Here is what 247Sports has to say about his skill-set:
Strong, thick build ideal for inside linebacker.
