Michigan football got some good, if unexpected, news as the first day of the early signing period drew to a close.
Four-star linebacker Jaydon Hood told 247Sports he has signed with the Wolverines after previously planning to wait until February to sign.
Hood is the second-highest ranked defensive prospect in Michigan's class. He is ranked No. 246 overall and the No. 14 inside linebacker, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Once Hood signs, he will be the 19th official member of the Wolverines' 2021 class and the third linebacker, joining Junior Colson and Tyler McLaurin.
