For the first time in a while, Michigan football has received positive recruiting news.
The Wolverines got a verbal commitment from four-star cornerback David Long Jr. today in an announcement on ESPNU’s “Recruiting Nation.”
"For the next four years, I'll be attending the University of Michigan," Long said on the show. "I thought about the decision where I wanted to be."
Long, a 6-foot, 175-pound cornerback who attends Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola High School, is the No. 8 cornerback on the 247Sports.com composite rankings.
The announcement wasn't a shock given a few signs leading up to it.
